New students-arrive early to get your gear and set up.
Select a bow that has no sight, and "claim" it by adding a sight
Training: Relax!-Be fluid!
The elite archers step up, set their feet, and begin the "process". Watching them makes it look so effortless, but the work, mistakes, re-dos, sacrifices, do it again, again, again...all led to the appearance of "effortlessness".
Working to get the bones in alignment, muscles into familiar "hold", the mental "I am here, last arrow is gone, next has not been loaded", and the fluid movement to reach that holding, loaded back position-took practice. And the willingness to try something new.
This training session, we will work on routines, and fluid, relaxed, intentional movement, using only those muscles necessary to produce your shot. We will check our Lan 2 (a spot on the middle backside of your upper draw arm) to be aware that it moves along the shooting line and perpendicular to the arrow line, a rotation, to the back tension "holding" position, and, we will focus on the movement of the draw elbow.
